Allure of the Seas

2023-04-16 to 2023-04-23 Western Caribbean

This was my first cruise on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and it was a lot of fun. Allure of the Seas is an Oasis-class ship and they are so large (over 6000 passengers), that they only call on ports where they can dock. This is great for those of us who hate tenders but it does limit the number of places you can call, especially if you are sailing from Galveston.

We called on Roatan, Honduras; Costa Maya, Mexico and Cozumel, Mexico and had sea days at the beginning and end of the cruise.

Roatan

This was a cruise more about the ship than about the ports, because my companions had been to all of the ports multiple times. So, in Roatan, we just wandered around the port and went to Monkey Lala for lunch.

Costa Maya

This was the first port where I stayed on the ship. Costa Maya is nice, but there wasn't much to do, so we just decided to see what happened onboard when everyone else is onshore.

Art in Central Park (Do you see me?)

Relaxing in Central Park

Unlimited soda - if you have the cup

There's always time for pizza

Two drinks - I couldn't decide.

Cozumel

Another port I had been before (on the Carnival Panama cruise last year.) So, we just wandered around the port and had lunch.

Drinks at last.

Can you find me?
