It's a gas station! It's a rest room! It's a truck stop without trucks! It's a BBQ restaurant! It's ... everything!
If you're driving down the Interstate and you realize that really need a bathroom and a refill for your soda, and maybe a breakfast taco, perhaps some corn chips or a candy bar, possibly some gasoline, and a shot glass or a deck of cards with a beaver on it, then I have a place for you.
It was a lot more exciting when there wasn't one until you were half-way to Houston, or you were willing to drive to the far side of Ft Worth. Still, if what you really need is a 40-oz Halloween mug in August, having a Buc-ee's within just over a half-hour or so is quite convenient, especially by Texas standards.
Royce City (36 minutes East, I-30)
Melissa (37 minutes North, US-75)
Terrell (37 minutes South-East, US-80)
Denton (43 minutes North-West, I-35)
Ennis (45 minutes South South-East, I-45)
Forth Worth (49 minutes West, I-35W)
Hillsboro (70 minutes South, I-35)
These aren't all of the locations, obviously, Buc-ee's is in multiple States at this point, but these locations are all within an hour's drive of East Dallas, depending on traffic (which means you may need gas by the time you actually arrive.)
The one in Ennis is conveniently located near Bubba's BBQ & Steakhouse, so if Beaver Nuggets won't hit the spot, you can stop and get some brisket or a ribeye.
Somewhere down the road, Captain Bob met Buc-ee in person. It was an exciting moment for both of them!
